We spend so much time staring at what we're doing in close proximity, that we notice things no one else will. Fantastic job with the knotting. Look great! Haha, yes he is a very nice raven isn't he ;) I got the dark patina through several baths in very hot LOS with some gentle scrubbing in between to get rid of those flaky bits - it works but you do have to seal it pretty thoroughly or it get damaged easily - and yes sealer is not my favourite thing atm - I like preserving a finish but it can make the metal look a little cheap and plastic!Jess Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07446419759153926480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063414128510408100.post-17338583278852155252015-11-02T10:59:36.559+00:002015-11-02T10:59:36.559+00:00Thanks Tammy - yes the little imperfections in lif...Thanks Tammy - yes the little imperfections in life are what makes it worth living I think ;)Jess Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07446419759153926480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063414128510408100.post-27746874262613808392015-11-02T02:56:52.370+00:002015-11-02T02:56:52.370+00:00What a stunning necklace. I love how you have used your Raven (great minds!) and the colours you have used are perfect you EVEN have a ammonite bead, way too cool! I'd love to know how you get such a dark patina on your metal, every time I try to do anything darker then brown it flakes off!!! I use Keen top crystal clear and Renaissance wax to coat my metal but I don't really like either! I have already made a couple of other pendants based on him so hopefully I will have another raven design soon - who knows, maybe with another of your lovely beads ;) xJess Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07446419759153926480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063414128510408100.post-57967047666691799562015-10-31T16:20:47.827+00:002015-10-31T16:20:47.827+00:00Hi Jess, what a lovely surprise I got when I visit...Hi Jess, what a lovely surprise I got when I visited your blog and the first thing I saw was your gorgeous necklace made with one of my focal beads!

I love necklace you've designed and if you hadn't pointed out that the raven was missing a wing feather I wouldn't have even noticed. You could always saw the other one off if you wanted it to match ;-) Would you be able to sand it back and try again?

Linda xLinda - Earthshine.co.ukhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04398902335499682563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063414128510408100.post-61717295489547531492015-10-31T16:01:55.563+00:002015-10-31T16:01:55.563+00:00Thanks Lesley!
